Hey there, fabulous readers! Sam here (this is a personal one). Today I'm diving into a cheeky little challenge that might just get your skin glowing, and maybe make you giggle. Let's talk about the look of loose, crepey skin: floppy knees, bingo wings waving hello from the couch, inner thighs and a belly that likes to jiggle at the party. We're going to give it all a good nudge with a gentle treatment and salmon DNA.
Short answer: a gentle, consistent routine of a shallow at-home treatment plus a salmon DNA serum can help support the look of firmer, smoother skin over time, done safely at a gentle depth. Browse salmon DNA serums.
What's the deal with loose skin?
As we age, skin naturally loses some of its bounce, thanks to weight changes, pregnancy, or just time. We can't promise miracles, but a gentle, consistent routine can help support the look of smoother, firmer-looking skin.
The plan: salmon DNA + a gentle treatment
1. A gentle treatment. Tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin's surface, which helps a serum absorb and supports the look of a smoother, firmer finish, like a little workout for your skin's appearance.
2. Salmon DNA serum. Salmon DNA (PDRN) is a gentle, hydrating cosmetic ingredient that supports the look of plump, even skin. It's packed with skin-loving goodness, and no, it doesn't smell like fish! I'll be using a topical Curenex salmon DNA serum for my sessions.
The challenge (done safely!)
I'm challenging myself (and you, if you're keen!) to a little transformation journey on those crepey spots. Here's the safe game plan:
1. Prep & safety first. A very important note on depth: for at-home use, keep your needle gentle, 0.25-0.5mm. Please do NOT go deep at home (I'm not doing 2.5mm at home, and neither should you, deeper body treatments belong with a licensed professional). Use clean, single-use heads and never go deep enough to draw blood.
2. The gentle session. Get comfy and let those tiny needles do their thing at a shallow depth, all while dreaming of looking fab in swimmers again.
3. Slather on the salmon. Before, during and after, apply that glorious salmon DNA serum to hydrate and support the look of your skin.
4. Keep it consistent. Space sessions sensibly (every few weeks for shallow body needling), and pair with daily topical serum in between.
5. Stay tuned. I'll keep you posted on how my skin feels along the way, quirks, surprises and all.

Frequently asked questions
What treatment depth is safe at home for body areas?
Keep it gentle, around 0.25-0.5mm. Deeper needling on the body is a clinical treatment and should only be done by a trained professional. Never go deep enough to draw blood at home.
Can a gentle treatment tighten loose skin?
As a cosmetic routine, a gentle treatment with a salmon DNA serum can support the look of firmer, smoother skin over time. It's not a medical skin-tightening treatment.
What serum should I use?
A gentle salmon DNA (PDRN) serum is ideal, it absorbs well and supports the look of hydrated, even skin.
Disclaimer: These are topical cosmetic products, not therapeutic goods, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. An at-home treatment should be gentle (0.25-0.5mm) with sterile single-use heads; deeper treatments belong with a licensed professional. Always patch test; not suitable for those with fish allergies.
